The MNLA Shootout is a fun sporting clays tournament that raises money for scholarships!

Join us for the 2015 MNLA Shootout! The Shootout will be held at the South St. Paul Rod & Gun Club, featuring shooting games like Duck Flurry and Skeet Walk with a Crazy Quail TWIST!

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with games open at 10 a.m. for those interested in getting an early start!

The course will be run at the beginner level for sporting clays - difficulty level is FUN

Bring a hunting vest or wearable shell container to hold your unused and used shells
Eye and ear protection is highly recommended; ear plugs are available at the club for a small fee

Proceeds benefit the MNLA Foundation Scholarship Fund.

Registration includes 50 rounds of sporting clays, beverages, lunch and dinner, and fabulous prizes. Shooters must furnish their own guns and target load shells (minimum 75 shells), no high load shells allowed on range. There will also be a variety of games for which you should have approximately 25 shells per game. Shells are available for purchase on-site for $8 per box of 25.

PRIZES scoring will be on a per team basis with one score for the entire team.

DOOR PRIZES plus a raffle for a top-of-the-line prize.

GAMES are always a blast!

Duck Flurry - A two person team stand side by side and shoot at randomly thrown clay targets.  The team that breaks the highest number of targets wins.$10 per person. Chance to win team prize $100 Cash!

Long Shot – Get 5 chances to break a clay target that is thrown a long way down range. Give the target plenty of lead and pull the trigger. $5 per game. Chance to win $50 Cash!

Skeet Walk with a Crazy Quail twist – The shooter walks slowly from station 1 to station 7 on the skeet field.  Every time the shooter stops walking a clay target will be thrown from the rotating “crazy quail” trap.  The targets are completely random and unpredictable.  The skilled shooter that breaks the most targets wins. $10 per game. Chance to win $50 Cash!

Grouse/Skeet Shoot – A recreation and competitive activity where participants, using shotguns, attempt to break clay disks mechanically flung into the air from two fixed stations, at high speed, from a variety of angles. $10 per game. Chance to win $50 Cash!
