Join Networking Group leader Brenda Wickenhauser and MNLA nursery professionals for a meeting and tour of the Bailey Nurseries pot-in-pot container fields.

MNLA’s Nursery Networking Group will meet at Bailey Nurseries’ Mogren Farm at 1:30 PM, Thursday, August 21st.  We will meet outside, weather permitting, but will meet rain or shine.  Bailey’s will provide refreshments, but plan to have lunch before you arrive. Schedule will be as follows:


1:30 PM: Guided Tour of Bailey’s Pot-in-pot Tree Production Fields
- Follow the directions below. Please park on the east side of the building. Someone will be there to direct you.
2:15 PM: Meeting/Discussion
- Meet at the picnic tables under the windbreak next to main building or in the lunch room in case of rain.  

Tim Power will report on the following:
- Noxious Weed Advisory Committee – barberry, bush honeysuckle, etc.
 - Pollinator/Pesticides Update 

Kevin Johnston will discuss:
- 2014 Tree Growth – effects of temperature, rain, late start

Open discussion of other nursery topics             

Brenda Wickenhauser will be our networking host.  The tour will show us Bailey’s pot-in-pot growing techniques, maintenance practices and quality control process, and the meeting will provide great discussion, and.

Please RSVP to attend this event so Brenda know how many shuttles are needed.

Directions:  From the city of Hastings, go south on US61 to south edge of town. Turn left (southeast) on MN316 and drive 2+ miles to Nicolai Avenue.  Turn right (south) on Nicolai, follow the deer fence south and turn in at the main entrance on the right. Bailey’s Lot 7 – Mogren Farm, 18215 Nicolai Ave. Buildings are straight ahead (west) of the main entrance.
