Plant identification can be challenging, but is an important and essential skill for all landscape professionals.
This half day, hands-on training will cover plant identification basics of: shrubs (deciduous and evergreen, herbaceous perennials, roses, vines, small fruits, and trees (both deciduous and evergreen).
This training is for anyone wanting to develop or improve their plant identification skills and will appeal to many green industry professionals including landscape management staff, garden center staff, landscape designers, landscape contractors, and professional gardeners.
This is an outdoor training class. Please dress for the weather. Attendees may want to bring a notepad and pen or a mobile device to take notes.
Register early. Class size is limited. We’ll follow state and CDC recommendations regarding distancing during the event. Since this is an outdoor event, masks are suggested, but not required.
Parking is free. Food and drink are not allowed in the gardens. Reusable water bottles are permitted.
MNLA is continuing to plan education and events for the green industry. All precautions will be taken to meet social distancing requirements and the guidelines set in place by local and state agencies as well as venues. But, as we all know, there are no promises during these times and we are taking this day by day and will announce any changes as they come if necessary. We also know these are difficult and uncertain times for everyone, so we've made a few adjustments. Should changes occur causing an event to be cancelled due to COVID-19 issues, your registration would be refunded in full.
