In this combination classroom and hands-on class, you will learn the basic elements of a small engine. You will learn the difference between 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines, how to clean a carburetor, flush your fuel lines, test your electrical system, and order replacement parts. If you have a small machine that needs repair or that you want to learn how to maintain, bring it to the class.

Byron Emmons, Heidi’s Lifestyle Gardens, is currently the Account Manager for Heidi's Lifestyle Gardens. He is an MNLA Certified Professional and holds a degree in Ecopsychology. His background includes Sustainable Food Systems, Urban Agriculture, Water Resource Management, Soil Science, and Ecopsychology.
Tools Needed: The following items are required for the hands-on portion of this class. You may bring your own set of tools or purchase them for $150 when registering and they will be provided for you at the class.

Seats are limited for this class. A box lunch and beverage is included. Parking is free.
MNLA Registration Refund Policy: For all education events, MNLA will gladly make a full refund of your registration fee if cancellation notice is received more than two business days in advance of the event. In the two business days prior to the event, a 50 percent refund will be given. No refunds will be given for no-shows or cancellations made the day of the event. Cancellations may be made in writing, by fax, or by telephone call received at the MNLA office during normal business hours.
Dietary Requests: Every effort will be made to accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free requests. Verbal requests must be made to the MNLA Office at least 2 weeks prior to the event date. Accommodations are not guaranteed
