Learning with Trees
Presented by:
Rebecca Krinke, Professor of Landscape Architecture, University of Minnesota
Description: The year end meeting provides a perfect time for reflecting on our human relationships with trees. As a landscape architect and artist, Rebecca Krinke has been learning from, and inspired by trees in a life-long way (like many of you). Her work focuses on the symbolic, personal, and spiritual layers of relationships with trees. Through her work with the local Healing Place Collaborative group, she has participated in the construction of the Dakota Table, a 4 part table of 4 different woods that speak to the Dakota world view, and is used for learning from and with Native perspectives.
The forum will be held at the Chalet, Theodore Wirth Park, Mpls, December 19, from 10-11 a.m. with the potluck lunch following. Please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to Second Harvest.
