Summary:

Spruce, pine, fir, juniper, and other conifers play an important role in the landscape. These resilient trees provide color year round, shelter sites from wind, reduce noise pollution, and provide privacy and screening. When conifers become infected with a plant disease the result can be a significant negative impact on the landscape as a whole. Needle loss, branch death, and tree decline reduce the aesthetics of the site but also the function of the plants in the landscape. In this webinar, learn how to identify, prevent, and manage common diseases in landscape evergreen trees.

Presenter: Michelle Grabowski, University of Minnesota Extension

Michelle Grabowski is an extension educator for the University of Minnesota in horticulture and plant pathology. Her work focuses on identification and management of current and emerging plant disease problems of horticultural crops in Minnesota. She works with lawn and landscape professionals, arborists, home gardeners, commercial fruit and vegetable growers, and other members of the green industry.
