Plant identification can be challenging, but is an important and essential skill for all landscape professionals.
This hands-on training will cover plant identification basics of: woody shrubs, perennials, annuals, roses, vines, small fruits, and trees—both deciduous and evergreen.
This training is for anyone wanting to develop or improve their plant identification skills and will appeal to many green industry professionals including landscape management staff, garden center staff, landscape designers, landscape contractors, and professional gardeners.
This is a hands-on training with live plant material. Attendees may want to bring a notepad and pen or a mobile device to take notes. This training will be held outdoors.

11:00am—12:00pm: MNLA Certification Exam Tips: Plant Identification Pictures, Videos, and Question & Answer with the Certification Task Team
Registration Refund Policy: For all MNLA education events, MNLA will gladly make a full refund of your registration fee if cancellation notice is received more than two business days in advance of the event. In the two business days prior to the event, a 50 percent refund will be given. No refunds will be given for no-shows or cancellations made the day of the event. Cancellations must be made in writing, by fax, or by telephone call received at the MNLA office during normal business hours.
