EAB Proposal Needs Your Input

Posted By MNLA eNews, Thursday, February 21, 2019

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has formally announced that they are considering a rule change to deregulate emerald ash borer (EAB) at the federal level. However, as of the time of publication, no final decision nor timeline had been announced. In the event that USDA proceeds with federal deregulation of EAB, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) has hosted conversations with stakeholders and is proposing a path forward for Minnesota. The proposed plan is posted online, and a comment period is now open through March 22! We encourage all MNLA members who care about this topic to submit comments by the deadline.
