New Video Debuts "Finding Your Place in the Green Industry”

Posted By MNLA eNews, Friday, December 4, 2015

A cooperative effort by four New England green industry organizations has produced a new video, "Finding Your Place in the Green Industry," which is available to the commercial horticulture community on YouTube. The video highlights green industry professionals, from students to experienced veterans, commenting on what they enjoy about their careers in commercial horticulture. The video speaks to the current shortage of finding good employees.

"Finding and recruiting qualified employees is the number one challenge in our industry today," says Virginia Wood, executive director of New England Grows. "We produced this video to support recruitment efforts and educate young people about the advantages of a career in commercial horticulture. We want them to understand that green industry professionals act as environmental stewards who use science, technology, and their creativity every day. We hope everyone will use this new resource to draw more people to our industry.”
