I am writing today in the hopes of discussing an initiative for Metro Transit to partner with landscape architects/contractors/designers to design/install/maintain landscapes at our facilities. I am trying to gauge interest and get the word out and determine if companies are interested. Basically the locations would be at light rail stops and Park & Ride facilities that have high ridership and visibility. The idea would be that by participating, companies would get highly visible signage at the site, as well as advertising on light rail trains and/or buses. It would be similar to Chicago’s successful Gateway Green program.
We are still working out the finer points of the initiative and plan to roll out the program until this winter. By then we will have a map of available facilities along with boarding data for the metro area for firms to pick and choose from. For now I just need to make sure that if we move ahead with creating this, that people would be interested in participating. Thanks for your advice and help.
