Requests for proposals are now being accepted by the MNLA Foundation for the 2015-2016 year. Applications for grants must be received by Monday, November 2, 2015 at 5:00 pm. If you have a research project that meets the Foundation’s criteria, you are encouraged to submit a proposal for consideration. Please note: Foundation contributors and grant recipients are not limited to Minnesota firms, institutions or individuals.
This competitive grant process will award one or more grants totaling a maximum of $20,000 in this funding cycle. Work for these projects need to show an outcome within 1-2 years and must be applied research.
The mission of the MNLA Foundation is to improve the outdoor living environment in the North Central Region by investing in research and education. The focus areas that have been developed by the MNLA Foundation Board of Directors for this grant cycle are as follows (listed in no particular order):
Note: “Sustainable” for the purposes of this application is defined as a practice having minimal negative environmental impact, a positive economic impact, and a uniform social impact.
All proposals will be reviewed and fairly judged on their merits. Projects that fall within this set of priorities will be given strong consideration. Applications will be reviewed in November and applicants notified of the results in December 2015.
