Support Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association Foundation and showcase your business or product by making a donation. All proceeds from the silent auction fund activities to advancing public understanding and the next generation in the green industries. The mission of the MNLA Foundation is to improve the environment by investing in research and education. Donate ANYTIME throughout the year!

The MNLA Foundation partnered with 16 member companies to present 23 academic scholarships for the 2016-17 school year. Here is a look at this year’s recipients.

 

MILES ANDERSON

Major: Plant Science
Expected Graduation: 2017
Future Plans: I want to enter a field of study with universal worth. The value added to the world through human's interactions with plants is of great importance to everyone on Earth. It gives one a great sense of accomplishment to participate in this interaction.

 

 GABRIELLA BLAIR

 School: University of Wisconsin-River Falls
 Major: Horticulture
 Expected Graduation: 2018
 Future Plans: I plan to create and run my own successful Christmas tree farm and  Landscape Design company. I plan to celebrate my favorite time of the year with families  and incorporate Christmas tree inventory and offer landscape design.

Future Plans: I plan on going on to graduate school, hopefully focusing on Midwest vegetable production. Plant pathology and plant breeding are two areas with a lot of opportunities. I would be happy to solve problems and overcome some of the challenges that are unique to vegetable producers in northern climates, particularly Minnesota.

Future Plans: I will be working at Plant Introductions, Inc. in Georgia for the summer.
