Instructor:  Rhonda Fleming Hayes, Author, Photographer, Gardener, Magazine Contributor
Kick your vegetable garden aesthetic up a notch! "Potager-style" kitchen gardens are historically from French Medieval times but have made a resurgence into modern garden trends by incorporating symmetrical geometrical beds with the vegetables planted in patterns or groups rather than in rows, often with flowers, fruit and herbs intermingled. Through gorgeous photographs and from her wealth of knowledge, Rhonda will walk you through the basic design of a potager. In this class, you will see how you can incorporate some or all of these ideas into your landscape that are useful for you. The garden can be compact or large as well as attractive. Rhonda will also share her tips for growing a successful and bountiful kitchen garden. You will leave with a comprehensive handout and inspiration to begin design improvements to your vegetable garden this spring!
